What is the general consensus on the swine flu vaccines, are you going to do it or not.

I am definetly not, I've read that you can have really bad reactions to the vaccine.

I don' t think we will be to be honest although if any of had underlying health problems then maybe I would do. Am a bit suspicious of a vaccine that seems to have been developed in a matter of weeks!

I am in one of the groups that is recommended to get flu vaccinations but think its better to build up the bodies defences by eating healthy and so on, I also am really careful about washing my hands in case I've picked up anything like that.

I'm not having it, but then again I don't normally bother with the normal flu jab either.
Seems to be nothing but contradictory reports on the vaccine as to whether it's safe or not. Considering the worldwide mortality rate is very low, I think it's better to err on the side of caution and avoid the jab till there is firm empirical evidence of the jab not being worse than the flu itself. From what I've seen on the news the trials haven't been going on long and the trials on children only seem to have just started.
The problem starts I suppose, with the elderly, the very young and people with underlying health problems. Having said that, normal flu can be a danger to this group anyway.
Linda. Crazy in love with my slob.
